The founding of Tokyo National School of Dentistry
- Oct, 1928
- Tokyo National School of Dentistry is founded.
- Dec, 1930
- Tokyo National School of Dentistry moves to its present address at Yushima. Tokyo National School of Dentistry affiliated Hospital, No.1 is also opened. The former hospital at Nishiki-cho is then re-named as Tokyo National School of Dentistry affiliated Hospital, No.2

- Aug, 1944
- Tokyo Medical and Dental College, the Faculty of Dentistry (old curriculum) and Preparatory Course are established.

Founding of Tokyo Medical and Dental University(TMDU) (new curriculum)
- Apr, 1951
- Tokyo Medical and Dental University(TMDU) is formally approved, new curriculum is introduced. Affiliated School for Dental Hygienists is also founded.
- Apr, 1952
- Afilliated School for Dental Technicians is founded

- School of Oral Health Care Sciences (two courses) was established in Faculty of Dentistry (Course for Oral Health Care and Course for Oral Health Engineering).

- Department of Lifetime Oral Health Care Sciences, Department of Oral Care for Systemic Health Support, Department of Preventive Oral Health Care Sciences, Department of Oral Health Care Sciences for Community and Welfare, Department of Oral Health Care Education and Basic Sciences of Oral Health Care were established in Course of Medical and Dental Sciences and Technology.

- Department of Gerodontology was reorganized by unifying Department of Complete Denture Prosthodontics and Gerodontology.
- Mar. 2014
- School for Dental Technicians was closed.
- Apr. 2015
- Basic Oral Health Engineering, Oral Biomaterials Engineering, and Oral Prosthetic Engineering were established in Course of Medical and Dental Sciences and Technology.
- Apr. 2018
- Health Sciences and Biomedical Engineering (Master’s Program) was reorganized by integrating Medical and Dental Sciences and Technology (Master’s Program) and Biomedical Laboratory Sciences (Doctoral Program [Master’s Course]).

- Department of Dysphagia Rehabilitation was established in Course of Medical and Dental Sciences.
- Nov. 2019
- Department of Pediatric Dentistry / Special Needs Dentistry was reorganized by unifying Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities and Pediatric Dentistry.
- Mar. 2020
- Department of Behavioral Dentistry was integrated with Department of General Dentistry.
- Apr. 2020
- Department of Dysphagia Rehabilitation was established in Course of Medical and Dental Sciences.
- Apr. 2021
- Dept. of Biochemistry was reorganized by unifying Biochemistry and Connective Tissue Regeneration.
- May 2021
- Dept. of Oral Biomaterials Development Engineering was renamed as Digital Dentistry.
- Aug. 2021
- Dept. of Fixed Prosthodontics was renamed as Occlusal Function and Health Science.
Dept. of Oral Implantology and Regenerative Dental Medicine was renamed as Regenerative and Reconstructive Dental Medicine. - Nov. 2021
- Dept. of Occlusal Function and Health Science was renamed as Masticatory Function and Health
Science.
Dept. of Removable Partial Prosthodontics was renamed as Advanced Prosthodontics. - Mar. 2022
- Dept. of Diagnostic Oral Pathology, Dept. of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Dept. of Sports Medicine and Dentistry were abolished.

- Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was renamed as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Oncology.
- Dept. of Maxillofacial Anatomy was renamed as Oral and Maxillofacial Anatomy.
- Dept. of Molecular Craniofacial Embryology was renamed as Molecular Craniofacial Embryology and Oral Histology.

- Dept. of Oral Prosthetic Engineering was renamed as Oral Biomedical Engineering.
