Educating research-oriented health care professionals

Recent development of science and technology has brought about greater sophistication and more interdisciplinary characteristics in research in the area of dentistry. People demand more sophisticated dental care, with the advancement of Japan’s aging society and changes in the disease structure. Against this backdrop, our graduate school was reorganized to better serve to our society and to the world by promoting interdisciplinary international research projects and by educating research-oriented health care professionals.



Research subjects of each section

The dental division of the Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences consists of 42 Department from 7 Division. One department of the Institute of Biomaterials and Bioengineering is also joining the dental division. The heads of the section and their main research subjects are as follows:
