In addition to cultivating highly skilled dental technicians with advanced expertise, we also focus on training researchers who can identify real-world challenges and solve them through scientific approaches. In line with Science Tokyo's mission of “Advancing science and human wellbeing,” we train human resources who can contribute to society through practical education.Recent advancements in digital technology have transformed the dental field, driving the development of computer-assisted design and manufacturing (monotsukuri). Moving forward, collaboration with the Science and Engineering departments (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology) is expected to further enhance our education and research.From the fall semester of their first year, students take basic courses in their course.Starting from the second year, they deepen their expertise and can participate in international exchange through programs such as “Globalization for Oral Health Engineering Practice” and by training in Taiwan.From the fall semester of their third year, students start practical research training, followed by clinical training at Science Tokyo Hospital in their fourth year, nurturing their development into “Scientific Clinicians.”Since the establishment of the doctoral program, interest in advanced degrees has surged, with the rate of students enrolling in graduate school exceeding ��% in recent years.
