It aims to nurture talent who can support healthy and fulfilling lives by acquiring advanced specialized knowledge and skills, working through multidisciplinary cooperation, and promoting oral health care across all stages of life. We educate dental hygienists who can apply their expertise with humanity, scientific thinking, and strong ethical values to deliver oral health care services in various settings, mainly in medical care, and also foster researchers who will shape the future of the oral health field.Over four years, students study dental hygiene along with a broad curriculum spanning the fields of health, medicine, and welfare. In the first year, students primarily focus on Liberal Arts and Basic Science Courses, while also taking early specialized courses such as Introduction to Clinical Experience Training, Graduation Research, and Interprofessional Collaboration. From the second year to the third year, they begin more advanced specialized courses and basic practical training, as well as social welfare-related courses. In the latter half of the third year, clinical practice begins in earnest. In the fourth year, students participate in on-site training at general hospitals, community sites, and facilities for the disabled or the elderly.
