In addition to cultivating highly skilled dental technicians with advanced expertise, we also focus on training researchers who can identify real-world challenges and solve them through scientific approaches. In line with Science Tokyo's mission of “Advancing science and human wellbeing,” we train human resources who can contribute to society through practical education.Recent advancements in digital technology have transformed the dental field, driving the development of computer-assisted design and manufacturing (monotsukuri). Moving for ward, collaboration with the Science and Engineering departments (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology) is expected to further enhance our education and research.From the fall semester of their first year, students take basic courses in their course.Starting from the second year, they deepen their expertise and can participate in international exchange through programs such as “Globalization for Oral Health Engineering Practice” and by training in Taiwan.From the fall semester of their third year, students start practical research training, followed by clinical training at Science Tokyo Hospital in their fourth year, nurturing their development into “Scientific Clinicians.”Since the establishment of the doctoral program, interest in advanced degrees has surged, with the rate of students enrolling in graduate school exceeding 30% in recent years. This course plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Faculty of Dentistry.口腔 保 健 学 科 口腔 保 健 工学 専 攻（4 年）臨 床実習2年 次 編 入学（3 年）本 専 攻は、口腔の 健 康の 維 持・増 進・回 復を図り、人々が 快 適な 社 会 生 活を 送 れるよう 、医 療と工学 が 密 接に連 携した 総 合 的かつ 科 学 的な 教 育・研究を行う学際的なコースです。高度な専門知識と技 術を 備えた歯 科 医 療 技 術 者に加え 、現 場 の課 題を 発 見し 、科 学 的 に 解 決できる研 究 者 の育成にも力を注いでいます。「科学の進歩」を通じて人々の暮らしを豊かにするという本学の理 念のもと 、実 践 的 な 教 育 で社 会 に貢 献 できる人材 を育てています 。近 年 はデ ジタル 技 術 の 進 展 により 、歯 科分 野で もコンピューターを活 用したもの づくりが 発 展しており、今 後は 理 工学 系（旧東 京 工業 大学）との連 携で教 育・研 究のさらなる高度化が 期待されます。1年次 後 期から専門分野の基 礎科 目を履 修し 、2 年 次 以 降 は 専 門 性 を 深 め 、「 グローバ ル口 腔 保 健 工学 」や 台 湾 研 修 による国 際交 流 も 行 います 。3 年 次 後 期 から研 究 実 習 、4 年次 に は 大 学 病 院 で の 臨 床 実 習 を 経 験 し 、S c i e n t i fi c C l i n i c i a nとしての 資 質 を 養 います 。博 士 課 程 の 設 置により進 学 希 望 者も 増 加し 、近年の大学院 進学率は 3割を超えています。本 専 攻は 、歯 学 部 にお いて今 後 の 発 展 を担う重 要 な 役割を果たしています。詳しくはこちらLearn more19%4%23%7%2%口腔 保健工学専攻
